Football Cake Pops
These trendy cake pops are the perfect dessert to complement a finger-food themed party. For added decoration stick them on a “football field” (green styrofoam) for easy access.
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- other ingredients needed to bake the cake (usually eggs and oil)
- 1 can of chocolate frosting
- 1 bag of chocolate candy melts
- microwave-safe container for melting chocolate
- shortening/ Crisco
- 4″ paper lollipop sticks

Cocoa Rice Krispies Football Treats
Don’t forget the gluten free football fans! Guests who don’t eat gluten and even those that do will enjoy these simple treats. You can use cocoa or regular rice krispies.
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows – OR – 4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 6 cups chocolate flavored crisped rice cereal
- Canned frosting or decorating gel

- 6 cups flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 3/4 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
- 3 T meringue powder
- 6 T warm water
Beat 4-5 minutes, until smooth

Football Ice Cream Sandwiches
If you’re in a pinch, it doesn’t get much quicker than football ice cream sandwiches! A few lines, x’s and o’s and voila! Make sure to keep the sandwiches frozen until game time and store them in a container over a bucket of ice!
