Do you own a blender? If not, you will want to consider getting one after you read through these cool beauty treatments you can blend up right in your own kitchen. What are you waiting for? Let’s get blending!

Avocado and Honey Facial Mask

This mask may help to restore collagen to your skin, smoothing out fine wrinkles and bringing out your own natural rosy glow. After it dries, rinse off with cool, clear water and pat dry.
Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado (for its antioxidant properties)
  • 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt (for its alpha hydroxyl acid ingredients)
  • 2 tablespoons of oats (for its calming properties to soothe skin irritation)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (for its antibacterial properties)
  • 1 tablespoon of dried mint (for its rejuvenating properties)

Blend until smooth and creamy. Store any leftover in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.
Note: If you have a mint teabag, just empty the contents of one bag into the blender.

Lavender Clay Facial Mask

This is a great mask to try if you battle with occasional skin breakouts. Try to find organic lavender essential oil, which you can find online or in organic food stores.
This mask may tickle as it dries, but don’t be tempted to remove it too soon. The color should go all the way from dark brown to light brown. When it starts to crackle and you can’t move your face anymore, use a combination of a clean washcloth and warm water to remove. Store any leftover formulation in a sealed container at room temperature.
Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons of Bentonite clay (for its ability to release toxins from the skin)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (for its antibacterial properties)
  • 4 drops of essential lavender oil (for its anti-inflammatory properties)
  • ½ cup filtered water, more or less (to improve consistency)

Note: When you pour the clay, make sure you keep your distance. Clay tends to form a cloud of airborne particles when poured, which can be unpleasant to inhale.

Rose and Chia Shower Wash

This shower wash will not only leave your skin clean and feeling fresh. The ingredients will help to protect your skin against dehydration and help reduce the amount of moisturizer you need to use to stay soft. If you have an empty shower wash bottle with a pump, you can fill it with your homemade blended shower wash. Store in the refrigerator when not using.
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of chia gel (Chia is loaded with Vitamin E, which supports skin health)
  • ¼ cup of castile soap (breaks up dirt without sulfates)
  • 2 teaspoons of essential rose oil (for skin softening and protection)

Note: To make chia gel at home, just put ½ cup of chia seeds in a Mason jar and fill it with 2 cups of filtered water. Place in refrigerator and allow to sit undisturbed overnight. During the night, the seeds will absorb the water, and in the morning, you’ll have chia gel!
By the way, these homemade blended beauty treatments make awesome gifts for your friends and family members. Just find some cute containers for presentation purposes and give the gift of natural beauty!
